Rohin is a dedicated educator who loves to share the language of percussion. He maintains a private practice in Manhattan, teaches as percussion faculty at The Horace Mann School and Manhattan School of Music Summer, and is a veteran teaching-artist with Bash The Trash, an organization committed to environmental sustainability; opening conversations with young people about climate change through building and performing on musical instruments made with reused and recycled materials. He has presented masterclasses and workshops at institutions including the Manhattan School of Music, Lincoln Center, and the University of Toronto; and has broadcast programs via distance/remote learning to schools across the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia.

Rohin has honed his teaching method over the past twenty-five years. Fostering the love of playing is central to his philosophy and he draws from an understanding of how spoken languages are taught to create an intuitive program of study. He is quick to assess technique strengths and weaknesses while creating effective methods for improvement and developing student confidence. He studied under master musicians from a wide range of musical worlds as an undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music (‘99) and while earning a master’s from the Manhattan School of Music (‘04).
